"it was the best of times, it was the blurst of times", can only describe our trek out to Drouin to break in nic and alex's new abode. I had been at a BBQ in rowville earlier in the day, where I helped myself to some VB's, listened to some sub par tunes (which I criticized until queens of the stone age's rated R album was agreed on), played garage drums in the vain of def leppard (I'm still recovering from shoulder surgery) and all out enjoyed the company of some of my best mates. I was swept up around 10 by benny G and we headed down the freeway to the quiet town of Drouin. There we indulged our selves in some fine captain morgans Rum, some fine music such as la dispute and the likes and conversed about such topics as life, people, drinking, fear and loathing and pondered as to what one would do with them self if they lived in Drouin. After coming to a close I lay there talking to dakis (above, whom had the ink at this point) where I told the same story about 50 times in which we found new avenues, angles and perspectives in which to laugh at the embarrassing situation. We also thought it necessary to wake nic at 4 o'clock to give us his vocal take on a laughing stock, local bands pre breakdown cry "WHAT IS THIS", which was 10 times better than mine and dakis' previous attempts.

The trip home had some comical encounters, one involving two teenage girls whom we drove past slowly "in the hood like" blaring gangsters paradise for a laugh. This innocent stunt in which the girls brushed off with a laugh, backfired as we we coincedently kept running into them on the streets, to the point they actually began to think we were following them and ran from the car, wherein actual fact we were just heinously lost in this deserted cattle country. We all felt bad, for inciting such fear. The second involved dakis' artwork and his appearance in a servo mcdonalds to a bewildered reception of familes, depressed register employees and even some bikies. I'll reiterate "it was the best of times, it was the blurst of times"

New Years

A video I made documenting our time at Philip Island between 27th of december 2011 untill the 1st of january, 2012. Whether we were kicking the footy, tonking the cricket ball, jamming with shearer (that fool singing teenage dirt bag) or re-creating precision dirty dancing lifts it was all carried out with great humor and with a cup of finchys basin punch in hand. This is one of the best new years' I've had, spending my time between this mad house and a more relaxed environment at a friends(mitches) resort villa (having said that I did consume a 98% liquor, get kicked out of the restaurant and crash a bike there). All in all I think everyone enjoyed themselves and watching this video every now and then brings the memories of such a heinous 4 day bender, flooding back.

Another vid I have of these ratbags. This was the second round of band of the year 2011 at the middle hotel. I took this video with my canon 550d (only a day old at the time) and spent about 10 minutes filming before my urges to chuck a mosh, and get wildly inebriated got the better of me. I personally think this was one of their best performances, and was definitely the best after show performance, as we loaded up the magnos and headed straight en route for the scarab bar, where we drank accordingly, ate overpriced sausage rolls and even stole dakis' pants, leaving him half naked and searching for his duds in main street belgrave.

Homefronts

This band was great whilst it lasted. Memories from all their gigs to their week of recording will always be looked back on amongst our group.
